We like to think of our online classes as virtual classes, since they are taught in real-time using video conferencing technology, and taught by the same great instructors that teach at our New York and Berlin locations. Our class sizes are kept small to ensure an intimate learning environment, and to allow our instructors to focus on the individual needs of our students. When designing the courses, our goal was to provide a solid foundation to learn music production and performance in a structured way however, we also wanted to have the flexibility to adapt our curriculum according to each student’s specific needs, experience and interests.

#ABLETON COURSE FREE#
Spanning an equally diverse range of musical genres, it offers free daily educational events via its Discord server and YouTube channel, such as masterclasses, feedback sessions, performance opportunities and contests.ģ43 Labs also gives students lifetime access to their network of education and industry partners – even after graduating – including label releases of their own tracks, performances in NYC nightclubs, and ongoing mentorship from instructors and alums. #ABLETON COURSE REGISTRATION#
Registering and receiving your Langara ID number for online registration takes only a few minutes. Please have your contact details and VISA or Mastercard ready. The easiest and fastest way to register as a new student is to call Continuing Studies at 604.323.5322. The course will be offered on a hybrid format, with the option for students to attend in person, or remotely via Zoom"īefore new students can register online, they must register through the CS Registration desk by phone Once you’ve registered for the first time, you will receive a Langara ID number that you can use to register online through myLangara.
#ABLETON COURSE INSTALL#
Students will be required to bring their own laptops, and we will install the free trial of Ableton Live in the first class. Maximum 12 students per intake. $400 tuition. Tuesday nights starting April 11th for 10 weeks, 6:30-9:30 pm Held at the West Broadway Campus. Schedule Information Registration opens March 15th You will learn about MIDI sequencing and virtual instruments, designing sounds using the built-in instruments and effects, how to edit and process audio recordings, as well as create elaborate templates for live music and DJ sets.
This workshop covers the basics of music production, sound design and laptop performance. Designed as a tool for composing, recording and mixing, but also as an instrument for live performance, it combines the traditional linear arrangement window found in most workstations, with a flexible environment called the Session View, where one can create and improvise without the constraints of a timeline. Ableton Live is an award-winning music-production and DJ software.
